The aim of the Careers Program at Williamstown High School at the Pasco Street Campus is to provide students with current and relevant careers information and support them to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to manage their future pathways. The program values all options including further education (University or TAFE), apprenticeships, traineeships and employment.Features of the program include: - Ready access to a careers counsellor and careers resource centre for all Year 10 – 12 students
- A cohesive, co-ordinated Careers Curriculum at Year 10 level designed to increase students awareness of pathway options, clarify future goals, and prepare them thoroughly for both VCE subject selection and Work Experience.
- A Work Experience program for all Year 10 students.
- A structured VCE subject counselling process involving both students and parents.
- Individual counselling for Year 12 students regarding post school options (VTAC etc.) and how to access them.
- Individual VTAC re-counselling for Year 12 post results
- Provision of various pathway options within the school curriculum including:
- Vocational Education and Training courses (VET)
- Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning
- Select Entry Accelerated Learning Program
- Accelerated Sport Program
