Swimming

The accelerated swimming program is now being coached by Mat Tippett, a professional Ironman and Triathlete. Mat is an ex Australian Swimming Squad member who has been coaching swimming for 15 years. Mat has introduced the use of technology into the swimmers’ training sessions. They have been filmed on the pool deck, as well as underwater. This has allowed coach Mat Tippet to individually break down their stroke frame by frame pointing out stroke corrections. The students are really loving the methodical approach to swimming as it is constantly giving them new things to think about.

The students also have had the opportunity to undergo a musculoskeletal screening from Sports Physiotherapts, Justin McEvoy. Their results are examined, followed by some exercise suggestions to target certain muscle groups which will then improve their technique and speed in the pool.
